Branding & Graphics - NORCO '80
January 2019 // Active Project // Remote
Question: What happens when you take a young, enthusiastic, possibly over-caffeinated college Freshman with all new knowledge about the advertising industry, and dispatch him to work on the graphics for an author's debut novel? Well, the answer's right here.
For almost two years, I have been designing the websites (yes, plural) and graphics for the critically acclaimed NORCO '80, debut novel of Peter Houlahan, which was released in June 2019 with Counterpoint Press. Through this incredibly opportunity, I was able to practice and showcase my ability to design nine heavily animated PowerPoints for a 25 stop national tour, two websites, digital headers and banners, and tour maps.
If there's one thing I will not tolerate, it's inconsistent branding. Disgusting. I developed the branding for the book and the author's digital presence around the book's cover. This let me create something noticeable and high impact online while still being cohesive to the publisher's materials and the actual physical product. Which, shameless plug, is now available everywhere.
